Student Receives National Merit Scholarship Honour 耀中学生荣获国家优秀奖学金

YCIS Beijing has built its reputation for academic excellence through decades of student achievement on internationally benchmarked exams. For over a decade, our school has maintained a perfect 100% pass rate in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and our students have regularly scored Top in the World and Top in China on Cambridge International Examinations. 

北京耀中国际学校一直以来因卓越的学术成绩而著名，二十多年来学生在国际考试中屡获佳绩。在过去十年里，北京耀中国际学校成为北京地区唯一一所保持100%国际文凭（IBDP）通过率的国际学校，我们的学生在剑桥国际化的考试中经常获得世界最高分和中国最高分。

And now, we’re delighted to announce another outstanding achievement, as YCIS Beijing Year 13 student Natalie Radar was recently named a Commended Student in the 2018 United States National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended Students are recognised for their exceptional academic promise, as determined by placing in the top 2% of scorers of more than 1.6 million entrants in the 2018 competition.   

现在，我们很高兴地宣布另外一个杰出的成绩，我们十三年级学生Natalie Radar 最近获得了2018年美国国家优秀奖学金，获得“优秀学生”的称号。被评为“优秀学生”，得有优异的学术成绩——2018年的评选中超过160万学生参与，仅有前2%的学生获此称号。

During last week’s Secondary School Assembly, our Western Co-Principal Noel Thomas took a moment to congratulate Natalie on this achievement – the significance of which was recognised by her classmates and teachers, who joined in thunderous applause as she walked to the stage.

在上周的中学晨会中，西方校长Noel Thomas首先恭喜了Natalie 取得的佳绩，随后中学部师生在Natalie上台领奖之际报以雷鸣般的掌声表示祝贺。

We’re very proud of Natalie and many of our students who, like her, are inspiring and motivating others to work hard and become the best versions of themselves.

我们为Natalie 感到自豪。我们中的许多学生和Natalie一样积极进取，激励着她家努力学习，并努力地成为最好的自己。
